Hi I’m Jess,

I have been paddling 10 years.

I competed at the London edition of World Championships, I also qualified for World Championships in 2023 (Samoa) (but broke my hip 2 weeks before and required surgery), I represented Australia World Championships in 2024 at Hilo (placed 2nd in club 1500m) and did Queen Lilli whilst over there!

I have also competed in Te Aito for the past 3 years, placing 3rd in the U19 in 2023. Competed in vaka eiva jn 2024, finished with silver in U19 V1, open women V6 iron and open women V6 round Raro. Currently in my final year as a junior and repping Aus in the 2025 marathon world champs in V1 and V6.

My favourite saying : ‘sooking about it won’t change the fact.’

This is something I started saying to myself over the last 2 years. There is no point in sulking over spilt milk if you aren’t willing to clean it up. rather than complaining, change things for the better, put in proactive measures and commit to bettering yourself.

Na Wahine O Ke Kai means so much more than just a team. All of the girls are here for the love of the sport, the culture and the ability to band together and strive to do our best; collectively. It’s a true family that supports all of its members, no matter the distance between us all!
